Sharing good stuff- Compartiendo cosas interesantes

My dear people,

This is an interview with Angelie Kidjo that you will surely find very interesting.
Pay attention when she tells how hard it was for her to become a performer not only a traditional singer. "Then, when I grew up and start singing more and more it becomes difficult because when you are born a girl in Africa and you are a traditional singer it is ok, but as soon as you start becoming a performer on stage in what are elderly call 'instruments of evil'...[...]in society you are perceived as a prostitute"
"My grandmother would come and say: Would you let them decide for what you gonna do or would you gonna decide for yourself?"

Enjoy it to the end, the last song is awesome.

A big hug, ma.ma.

Querida gente,
